Aww....this was at my house, wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteI love this picture. the sky is great but the light from the left makes the picture more interesting.
ReplyDeleteLine and color are important design elements in the composition of this image. The curving line of the sidewalk guides the eye to the light on the left, but stops short of revealing its source. I agree with Cassie that this adds interest. The horizon line is below the middle of the photograph, allowing the lovely color of the evening sky to dominate the photo. The lines or bands of color that progress from yellow at the horizon to deep cobalt blue at the top of the image contribute to the peaceful, gentle quality of this urban landscape. The sterility of the cement and asphalt is balanced by the soft, organic silhouettes of the vegetation.
